Since 2000, has any SEC team had more talent than LSU?

Here is who I would list at LSU's two deep:

QB---Russell
QB---Flynn
RB---Dominick Davis (Williams)
RB---Pre Injury Alley Broussard
RB---Joseph Addai
WR---Dwayne Bowe
WR---Josh Reed
WR---Michael Clayton
WR---Early Doucet
WR---Devery Henderson
TE---Robert Royal
TE---Richard Dickson
LT---Andrew Whitworth
LG---Herman Johnson
C----Ben Wilkerson
RG---Nate Livings
RT---Stephen Peterman

DE---Marcus Spears
DE---Marquise Hill
DE---Sam Montgomery
DE---Tyson Jackson
DE---Barkevious Mingo
DT---Glenn Dorsey
DT---Kyle Williams
DT---Michael Brockers
DT---Chad Lavalais
OLB--Cameron Vaughn
OLB--Trev Faulk
MLB--Bradie James
MLB--Kevin Minter
CB---patrick Peterson
CB---Morris Claiborne
CB---Corey Webster
NB---Tyrann Mathieu
FS---Laron Landry
FS---Ryan Clark
SS---Craig Steltz
SS---Brandon Taylor

K----Colt David
K----Josh Jasper
P----Donnie Jones
P----Brad Wing

KR----Trindon Holiday
PR----Patrick Peterson
PR----Skyler Green

Name an SEC team with a better two deep than that since 2000. That list has 13 1st rd draft picks in it and is littered with guys drafted in the top 5 rounds. I also had to leave off great contributors like Travis Daniels, Jonathan zenon, Chevis Jackson, Lionel Turner, Melvin Olive, Pittman, Bennie Logan, Eric Reid, and Reuben Randle.

LSU trails only Miami, USC, and Texas in current NFL players. UGA and Tenn are the closest SEC teams and you can probably make a similar list using their players.

Off the top of my head, I doubt anybody could match that.

There's a reason we're the winningest SEC program since 2000.

Didn't 2001 Miami have 13 first round picks on its roster alone?

I definitely don't feel like putting a list together, but UGA has better position groups than LSU at several positions. Overall LSU's is probably better though.

I'm sure you can take any of the big time SEC schools and they would have the #1 unit since 2000 at some position.

Actually Auburn could put together a pretty stout team, I just don't have the time to do it right now.

More than half of those name I don't recognize so they couldn't have been that good.

Exactly. Which is why this list isn't impressive.

You're missing a lot of O lineman and I think Ridley and lafell need to be on there

LSU has the 2nd most current players in the NFL, to only Miami. still pretty fricking impressive if you ask me considering how loaded Miami was in the early part of the millenium

No they don't. Not since 2000. Maybe since 2008, but not since 2000.
