When it comes to picking teams for the BCS bowls the rules are:
1. Only 2 teams from each conference.
2. At-large bids have to be in the top 14.
With the SEC currently holding 6 of the top 14 spots, that means for the 5 BCS games (including the NCG) 4 of the top 14 teams will be ineligible leaving only 10 teams to choose from for 5 games. From what I understand, a BCS bowl might have to get a team outside the top 14 if necessary to fill a bowl bid and leave 4 teams that all deserve a BCS bowl more than some crap team a BCS bowl had to pick.
I don't know about y'all, but I believe that is crap. Why punish 4 teams just because they're in the best conference in college and reward a team that clearly doesn't deserve it?
Thoughts?

Someone predicted that #19 Louisville would get a BCS berth...

That's doubtful.

Because they'll win the Big East.
No at-large team will be outside of the top 14.

Well, now you know what the rest of the country said last year...AND how the Barners felt in 2004 when they got screwed by a cheating SC team and the fact that they would have controlled their arse with that D and those horses at RB.

I agree with what you're saying. But, it is what it is. It's all about to change anyway
Not by much.
Only the top 4 teams would get to the playoff. The BCS bowls would still have to pick at large to fill their bowls.
SEC would still get screwed in that scenario. 6 of the top ten teams in the BCS, and only 2 get to play in it.
I call bullshite.
The real winners are Florida and LSU. after Atlanta, either Bama or Georgia fall beneath those two. And the at large bid goes to UF or LSU. It all depends on which fanbase the bowl wants. And LSU is a bigger national draw, and travels better.

lsu isn't a bigger national draw than UF, but they do travel better at times.
