After the game Saturday I felt like bama was better than us this year anyway because of unexpected injuries and suspensions and I was proud of the team for stepping up and giving it everything they had in a tough situation.

I still feel that way but a few days later and I think back to the fake fg, the decision to kick it well out of alleman's range the next drive, the warecat on 4th and 1 and kicking it on the final drive when we should have gone for it and I'm sick over it.

Not taking anything at all away from bama because you could talk about what if they don't fumble going in from our redzone and things like that but goddamn we had those cocksuckers beat and we let them off the hook.

If we lose to State, Ole Miss or Arkansas then I'll feel a lot worse.

I feel no shame about losing to Bama after another all out war.

Hindsight becomes clearer as time goes by, so the "what if" scenarios definitely get more frustrating.

I'm usually fine within a few hours. It's just a bunch of teenagers playing a game. If you let you affect you too much there's something wrong with you

It gets worse for a couple months, then better for a couple months, and then you ignore it as much as you can.

I cringed every time I heard Ohio State for about a year. Arkansas had a punt blocked and the ball laying 20 something yards from the endzone with a minute left with no-one stopping us from scoring. All they had to do was pick it up, walk in and we would have won.

Motherfricking scoop and score goddamnit.

Losing to Florida bothered me way worse than losing to Alabama, because Alabama is actually a great team.

But still, Alabama hurts. I wanted Atlanta badly. Repeating as SEC champions would have been something really special. If we wouldn't have gone to the national championship game, that would have been fine if we could have won the SEC.

Sucks to know we'll be sitting at home after the Arkansas game. I think we had an SEC championship-caliber team this year, and we proved that on Saturday.

Is LSU better than Alabama this season? They looked like it last night, and maybe they've looked more impressive the last three weeks. However, body of work comes into play, and Alabama has obviously looked a lot better over the course of the season.

Alabama is better than LSU this year, I think. In the end, that always makes the loss easier to take. LSU is lightyears better than Florida. That was one of the toughest losses to get over since I started attending LSU games.

I'll say this though... Alabama is a great team, but I think if the two teams played in Tiger Stadium ten times, they aren't winning more than five, IMO.

Losing to UAB in 2000 will never go away. I just ticked myself off.

Most people are not being honest when they say they don't dwell on loses and they feel better after awhile. I don't want to be a negative fan but I will never get over the 2010 Iron Bowl. I just remember telling my friends before half time that we were going to loose when Ingram fumbled the ball. They all laughed at me and said I was the most negative downer fan they knew. I warned everyone that Auburn was a second half team that year. That is the kind of butt hurt you never get over...

I remember that game more than I do last year's National Championship Game.

It's the way I still feel about the two unforced turnovers aganst LSU. Take either of those away and we likely win.

It hurts for a while.

Arkansas 2002

Auburn 2004

Florida or Auburn 2006

All of these losses still linger. If none of these take place, LSU would have been in Atlanta up to 7 times last decade.

What just happened last Saturday added some weight, too....

HELL NO!! Just a yearly reminder that CMR will never get UGA to the promise land... We always lose that one game to come up just short.

I think it was the way we lost...losing at the last minute. I never go into an LSU game thinking we will lose. And Saturday night I was certain we would win. But Bama's last drive and AJ's reaction afterwards made me have respect for them b/c their team put it all on the line just like ours did. Except for the one jackass making gestures to the crowd...he could've fell off the bench and it would've been great. But mostly I feel bad for the LSU players that played their hearts out. Gotta move on though...

Meh, I'm looking forward to seeing if the performance level jump the team took is consistent now. If so, should finish 11-2. Then...next.

I am still not over the 2010 iron bowl where every damn scientist in the world could not recreate the fumble out the back of the endzone, so I think loses like this don't get better with time.

At least LSU didn't turn the ball over six times.

How I felt last year but look at the bright side we came out of that game last year realizing we were probably better than LSU. LSU comes out of a game realizing they can play with anybody in the nation AND they and hopefully their qb realize how good he really is. The only thing good about the game othe r than the win for Bama is we took LSU best shot and still found a way to win. That was easily LsU most complete game ofte year and it was against the best team they will have faced all year. LSU will finish top five with two losses which is impressive in itself.
