Do you think the film will overshadow how great that 62' team really was? Do you think the events of the riot influenced the polls?
Younger fans, what are your views of events that happened, how do you think this short will affect your team as far as future recruiting?

I doubt the film will put us in a bad light or will be a hate piece. It's written by wright Thompson who loves Ole Miss.

Don't know what to say about the poll influence

It's not going affect recruiting at all. It's an hour long documentary that I seriously doubt many high school athletes care about. It happened 50 years ago, if anything it will contrast to present day to show how far Ole Miss has come.

I remember being told that 2 people died and one was an AP reporter. Neighbor told me the story when I was a kid, suggested that because it was a reporter the rest of the pollsters took out their aggravation on the Rebs when they voted.

I remember when the Reb mascot was retired, huge uproar from Ole Miss fan base about tradition and history etc. After hearing that story and thinking about that particular situation, I think it was the best thing Ole Miss has ever done.

IDK about that. There will have to be some major PR and spin to get an Ole Miss player into the Heisman voting collective mindset.
