I know its been discussed but I'm not so obsessed with Auburn recruiting that I even cared to read. Im only posting now because of the conversation I had last night.
I Was talking to a buddy of mine last night and he mentioned Lupers kid and how good he thought he was.
He was talking about him and RFosters play against Gadsden City he said this QB was awesome - could throw, run, had good reads, etc. Said he was the real deal.
I don't know how many stars he has or if my friend just sucks at evaluating talent, but why isnt this kid being courted heavily by Auburn?

There usually is a reason they aren't recruited.
I do find it funny that the two players they had recruiting Foster to AU won't be going to AU.

He's not that good of a QB. I doubt he plays QB in college. They mostly run the read option with him at Auburn High.

He's committed to TAMU, but they're not recruiting him as a QB. He's very athletic, but he's just not a college QB. I've been to probably 6 to 7 games that he's played at Auburn High. Jeremy Johnson is ten times the QB Luper is.

Luper's kid made it well known early on that he wanted to play his college ball back home in Texas. It was going to be TCU at first I believe, until he got a tamu offer to play in the sec. Not so much of us not offering, as it was him wanting to go back home.

Papa Lup isn't going to be in Auburn too much longer. He's been looking for a promotion since at least last off-season. Lil' Lup has no reason to stay on the Plains.

I think its wise for him to find a spot based on his talents and not his family connections, regardless.
Things change, almost inevitably within a 4 year time period. Don't want to screw up your one shot at a college career over it.

Lupers kid is going to Texas A&M. Has family from there. I think good move because daddys job aint exactly secure in Auburn.
