Yes he's foreal, one of the top players out of florida in his class, projected in first round i think

I remember watching him in high school when his team beat the piss out of mine for the state title. Knew he was going to be a stud then.

I love Matt Elam!! he flies all over the field and loves knocking his own teammates out in celebrations

He played the role of the Honeybadger against LSU, he's a beast! I think next year UF will have a legit chance to go all the way. Y'alls offense is way behind y'alls defense, not as bad as ours but similar.

He was good the last 2 seasons also. But the fact they were down years, people didnt notice.

Where was this talent past year on the UF team? You guys have an awesome defense, I have to admit I only watch LSU against you guys but wasn't this the same defense?

their defense did pretty well last year, it's their offense that kept the defense on the field the whole time.

I thought M.Elam was the difference in the game by far. Fla feed off of his physical play out there.
The play he made on OBJ was fantastic and a game changer for sure.
He's played much better than E.Reid (who's struggled this year IMO).

Matt Elam is legitimately one of the best defensive players in the country. He will go pro this year.
Florida has had talent for years, what Florida has been lacking is good sound coaching of the fundamentals. It took Muschamp a full year, but he fixed what Urban's shitty staff broke from 2009 on.
Matt Elam and Mike Gillislee are literally the heart of that team right now. If anything happens to either of them, Florida is in trouble.

You can tell that Elam just truly enjoys making big hits and big plays. If you watch closely he is involved in on almost every tackle.

Matt is a beast, and has been since last year. I'm sad he is likely gone after this year.
