Gruden would have a top 10 class here every year. He wouldn't have to do shite but show up and offer. It would be an embarrassment of riches the likes we've never seen on the Hill.
No doubt. He being so well known, and his personality would make kids cream their pants.

If the gruden rumors are true then we should hire him now and start recruiting. I doubt the rumors are true though. Kids might not remember grudens coaching but he would bring in the national media on our side, give us and x and o guy on the saban level. I wouldn't be disappointed in the hire

The Gruden talk will not die, despite what Wally and others are saying. There is more than a little smoke.

frick that. Spend $4m on a head coach and use a $1m for a top flight DC or OC.
Why not $5m on a head coach and the $1m or whatever on a top flight DC and OC
If the reports are true about JL willing to make the new head coach the highest paid in CFB, get top flight assistants and pay them too.

well, Wally isn't a great person to use to debunk rumors.
BUT, If and I mean a BIG if Gruden is interested, he'll likely demand the same things he demanded of Miami.
$4M+ salary, $1M for his brother(Jay) to be OC and a private jet for recruiting and a clause for Jay to be HC in waiting for when Jon retires.
Miami couldn't meet the money demands.

According to Randy Rainwater
Gruden flew down to college station with Jerry Jones last week to watch the game.
Adds more fuel to the fire.

Who's this damn fool on Bo's show?
Says Paul Rhodes > Charlie Srong.

He said 6-6 at Iowa St is equally impressive as a 10 win season at Louisville.

I mean Paul Rhoads is good in my opinion but it's like some of our fans try to go drastically way out of their way to bash Strong. I just don't get it at all.

Alot of people hate Arkansas natives as HC's for some reason. We've already missed our chance on two natives(Tuberville and Bryant) can't let another promising one get away.

I asked this on RT, but what would you guys think of Al Golden?

I also am really, really starting to like Butch(not davis) Jones.
He's won every year he as been HC(outside his 1st year at Cincy) and he is probably one of the handful of guys who runs a spread offense, but puts a good defense on the field.
