Maybe it's just me, but I can't figure out why we don't run more screen passes, especially to our RBS. For a team that has trouble protecting the QB, it would seem to help slow down the pass rush and blitizing. It would also help in our intermediate game which we really lacked against Rutgers.

Good question. Screen passes have never been done correctly or often at Arkansas . Not on offense nor when defending against them.

Seriously though, it's not as if our WR have such good hands that our RB couldn't make the catches though......

I've wondered the same thing. We did a decent amount of screens when Mallett was here, and I remember making some significant gains off of them.

Yeah screens would be ideal with our oline problems even going back to last year. It just doesn't make any sense. Of course, I still can't figure out why Paul refuses to use our bread and butter running play from last year, the draw with DJ. Everything about our offense this season just seems backwards.

Maybe Paul is trying to prove that he doesn't need to copy Bobby's genius play calling, and he's coming up with his own steaming pile of shite.
