I don't give a crap what all the haters say about the ugly win at Jordan-Hare. I'll take it every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Saban had three shots to win there with his LSU squad and NEVER DID IT. I'll bet Florida fans would have taken the win there in 2006 when they won the national title.

Miles has evened his record at 2-2 at JHS. That's impressive. If you consider that we've won there a total of 4 times since SEC expansion (the first one in 1992), I'll take any win I can get there. Yes it was ugly and the offense looked bad. Don't care. That happens. This defense is as nasty and dominant as ANY in the country.

I'm one of the few who isn't really worried about LSU's performance.

Throughout his tenure in Baton Rouge, Les has had some issues with QBs. This season may be no different. However, LSU's supreme athleticism and outstanding defensive unit will allow them to finish 11-1 or 12-0 in the regular season.

LSU- 12 Auburn - 10

Actual victory. LSU more points than Auburn. LSU 4-0.

LSU under Les Miles has a history of playing down to inferior opponents. Just see 2007 or random Ole Miss games for examples.

I have moved on. But, it is an historical fact that Saban did not beat Auburn on the road when he was coach at LSU. My point is not to disparage Saban but to demonstrate that winning at JHS is not something you just show up and do, as you're well aware, Bama fan. As I seem to recall, you had quite a problem there in 2009 with your unbeaten national title squad, needing a late score to go ahead. As I recall, you were losing in that game for most of the second half and pulled it out in the end. And that was Chizik's first year on the job, was it not.

Auburn was scoring points off of trick plays like double reverses and onside kicks. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

My impression of the game was that LSU was overconfident in thinking they could just run the ball against auburn and still dominate. Auburn, I believe, was statistically last in the conference in stopping the run so who's to question Miles' logic?

Chizik accurately predicted what Miles was going to do and stacked the box to stop the run. The result was what we saw. A low scoring slobberknocker.

LSU is better than they looked against auburn. They just had a conservative game plan that almost backfired on them.

Auburn showed a lot of heart which is a big improvement over what I've seen out of them so far this season. They took a big step forward in developing an identity.

Smart man.

When we were up 1 at halftime, I fully expected us to win. The fact we did not win says something good about LSU. We do not lose many night games at JH when the game is close late and the crowd is amped. Period and I was surprised LSU found a way to win in the 4th and not too happy about it.

I thought this thread was about LSU but it really seems to be about your love and desire to get Saban back.

The only problem I had was I wanted to see you guys whip some rear end and the final score left no warm fuzzy feeling. I guess there is always the iron bowl.

However (looking at the MSU USA score) I will agree - A win is a win.
