Wasn't "felony assault boy" still suspended for their first few games though?

"Violated a team rule". Usually means one of 2 or 3 things

Violation of "team policy"....

Everything I have seen from the time period the suspension was announced says "suspended for one game" or "a game", not the first game specifically.

LA Tech should be lucky Jenkins is suspended for the 10/13 game. Obviously the cirmustances changed, and Sumlin is actually going overboard still holding the LA Tech suspension. I'm sure they paid in the offseason.

Is anyone surprised about this?

Sumlin is no different that most coaches apparently.

What doesn't make sense about, "these players are suspended for the La Tech game?"

They were initially suspended for the opener. What kind of punishment is it really if you're playing the "suspended when it's convenient" game?

quote:

It was internal punishment for an internal problem. Coach should give them whatever he thinks is appropriate.

And still doesn't make sense.

Seriously ... we don't even know what they hell they did. They could have missed a frickin team meeting and he felt he needed to make an example.

I tell you what one of you guys tell me what they did to justify being suspended in the first place and I will agree they should be suspended for UF ... what you don't know either.

Thats what I thought ... deal with it.

And now feels like he doesn't. Unless his "example" was suspending them for the opener, but not for real.

I could understand the consternation if A&M's reasoning was "they were suspended for the opening week, but since the game got canceled, they'll play in every game after that week."

But saying they're suspended for a specific game and moving the week to match that game seems pretty standard to me. And yes, I'm biased, but still.

And why does gatorfan care anyway? Y'all should be confident in beating us regardless, shouldn't you?
