I don't know about the rest of the crew on the field, but we've got some replay officials that must inject crack directly into their bloodstream.
It's one thing to miss a call as it's happening, but those guys in the replay booth will make the obviously wrong call despite looking at the video...and sometimes even overturning a good call on the field.

You mean the official that called the bullshite personal foul against us vs Texas last year that cost us the game? TexAgs outted him as a hardcore horn fan and he had to shut his Facebook down. Next time you see that POS, punch him in the face for me.
The ONLY silver lining from that night was the fact that it sealed Sherman's fate. Great guy--not an SEC coach.
Everything else about that night was shite, though

It's actually not him who I know. I know someone else. But yes, from all I've seen, the personal foul guy is yet another official living here in Austin who is an open and shamelessly hardcore Horn fan.

If the SEC has THIS kind of problem, I would like to know about it.

The SEC has a rule that alumnus are not allowed to call games with their school. Doesn't mean bias calls aren't made, but as with most things in this conference, it appears above board.

He posted on TexAgs as a Texas fan, did he not? I'd be surprised if other conferences have problems of that nature

that was helmet to helmet contact initiated by the defender. Good Call, IMO.

Look up Arkansas vs. Florida 2008.
Wrong year, we won 38-7 in 2008. It was 2009. That said, we had to go through the Swindle in the Swamp in 2003, so I don't feel so bad when a couple of calls go our way.

It was only helmet to helmet because the A&M defender was trying to pull up at the last minute, and was even off balance going out of bounds (trying to slow up).
...and not ONCE in that video, did they show the hit head on at regular speed.

Yep. Ritter is the absolute worst.
I didn't find Ritter to be that bad last year, at least for LSU games. He was even more bug eyed than normal for the LSU/Bama game. You could tell his a-hole was puckered. He so badly didn't want to screw up on the biggest stage he'd be on all year.
The guy that called the penalty on Brad Wing isn't a crew cheif, but is pretty terrible at his job. There were a few times after LSU TDs that he would run up and get in the face of the LSU player to yell at them to not celebrate. Kenny Hilliard was one for sure. I think I remember other teams having the same problem with that guy.

But that does not extend to replay officials, does it? Wasn't the replay official that overturned the Patrick Peterson sideline interception in 2009 a Bama grad? Or was it the replay official from the 2004 Auburn game that so many LSU fans are still fuming about an Auburn grad?
Whichever it was, or both, we all know that the SEC headquarters are located in Birmingham, Alabama, and league policies never seem to upset those two universities. Or if they do, the offending policy is quickly changed (see Iron Bowl on Friday after Thanksgiving).

Watch This
I did....he's a joke. He's making excuses for the DB and trying to lay the responsibility on the receiver.
Questions that are relevant:
1. Does the receiver meet the Defenseless Player criteria?
2. Was there contact to the receiver's helmet by the DB's helmet, forearm, elbow or shoulder?
Honestly answer those and you have the right answer to the call.

What replay is that?
How bout the 4th down from the Auburn 30 yard line that LSU completed a pass then fumbled out of bounds. The play was ruled a catch and fumble on the field, but the replay guy decided that 3 steps with the football did not make a catch so he ruled the play incomplete... Auburn ball.
Of course the late 4th quarter pass interference was reviewed and the replay official deemed that the ball was tipped before any interference took place. WTF?!?!?!?!?!

what does this mean?
It means that LSU fans hate being forced to play at 1:00 on the day after Thanksgiving. Nick Saban pleaded with the SEC to change this when he was at LSU, and the SEC laughed at him. If you recall, in 2009 and 2010 the Iron Bowl was moved to that Friday afternoon because the SEC thought that game had more national appeal than LSU/Arkansas. Nick Saban once again complained, but this time he is the Alabama head coach. The SEC said, "We're sorry Sir Saban, we'll move you back to Saturday and stick the ditch diggers from LSU back on Friday."
