Any word on if Sammy Watkins will be playing for Clemson in the first game? Didn't he get in some kind of trouble in the offseason? That guy killed Auburn last year. Couldn't stop him.

NOthing official but Since Dabo has not gone ahead and suspended him like Ritch has his players...i'd suspect he plays.

I ordered my tickets a couple of weeks ago. Got lower level seats in the GA dome. Tix should come in the mail first part of August. Hoping for a good game and good time in ATL.

It seems like there is a lot of uneasiness from Auburn fans around here. You just won a National Championship but your ready to throw your coach under the bus. I guess a lot of you were the ones who despised the hiring that auburn made. I guess him winning a national title really made you shut up for a couple of years. You lose a couple of games though and here come the nay sayers out of the woodwork.

piggidyphish absolutley not...then chizik will be proven to be a fraud. That's just my guess.
WDE24 I think one of the big problems was that Chiz and Roof were never on the same page philosophically. I suspect both will be better without the other.
parkjas2001 Its not suspicious. I can show you.
He hired TR to run the defense and TR failed. He hired Coach Rocker to run the DL and we led the SEC in rush defense. If his caoching hires fail, he is 100% accountable...to me.
He is a CEO coach, like Brown and Tubbs taught him to be.

WDE24 He has had a pretty long career of success. Certainly he has to have some accountability for the defensive product last year, but to label him a bad coach because of it is premature at best and flaming due to your loyalties at worst.
I will defend Chiz for the job he has done so far given the circumstances he has inherited. However, I am still not sure if he is a great coach, good coach, or just ok. The way he handled 2010 was magnificent and he deserves more credit than he gets for that. I probably will withhold my final judgment until the end of the 2013 season, although this season should give us some good clues.
Just reading some of the post, even after you guys won a National Championship you cant deside if hes a good coach or not. Also because of his hires you seem not to be sold on whether he is a good "CEO" as head coach.
I thought he was a great hire when Auburn took him back considering that he was the D. coordinator of the 2004 undefeated team. His defense is the reason you guys went undefeated. Yes he had a rough year as the head coach of Iowa State but he started more freshman than the entire rest of the country. Why question the mans coaching ability with the pedigree that the guy has and the results that hes already brought to Auburn?

I have not personally attacked you why would you even say such a thing. I have not tried to flame you or any other auburn fans. It was a simple question and you got mad about it. You need to not take things personally or just not reply to the tread.
