Looked pretty good to me. He'd be an asset definitely.

We need the shooting. He looks like he has a nice stroke.

Sharpshooter has big day

Unranked in the class of 2014, three-star wing Riley Norris is making a strong push for the next Rivals150 from his class. Playing for a tough Team Thad squad, the Albertville (Ala.) High product had a big day as Team Thad fought off injury and fatigue to reach the quarterfinals.

A nearly 6-foot-7 wing, Norris is a tall shooter who can stretch any defense. He doesn't need a lot of time or space to unleash his accurate jumper from deep, and he plays the game with grit and effort. Norris doesn't have a ton of strength, but he's not afraid to mix it up in the lane and he is a good finisher in transition.

Over the past six months, Norris has emerged as a target for many high majors. He holds offers from several programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Kansas State and Florida State.

Norris says that there's not a rush on his recruitment and that he'll look to narrow things down to around five teams after the summer.

I saw that it was a mistake. It was Kansas State, not Kansas. Marquette offered him today. Dude is blowing up much like Norris.

Here is Justin Coleman's 2012-13 season highlights. LINK

Also saw Tyler Ulis highlights. Almost a twin of Coleman in both size and skill. Hightlights

Also saw something that kind of annoys me. Jerry Meyer said Butler was recruiting Coleman the hardest yesterday. Not sure if that was what Coleman said or if it was just what he believed. He still said Auburn and Bama lead with a prediction of Bama, but it does bother me if we aren't the ones going hardest after him.

'BAMA Magazine/BamaMag.com has learned shooting guard Malik Smith, a 6-2, 205 pound FIU transfer, is currently considering Alabama, Florida State, Minnesota and Texas. Smith officially visited Alabama last week but has not decided if he will visit any of the other three.

@gatorhoops: DeVon Walker's final two choices were Florida, Alabama. Would Billy D offer release for him to play for good friend Anthony Grant? Possibly.

I don't think we'd pursue him but I figured I'd post it.

Some Bama fan has been tweeting Smith and he said he'll be making a decision soon. Hopefully he'll decide not to visit anywhere and pick us. He also said Bama was in his top two. Not sure what other team that includes.

Us and Minnesota, I'd imagine. He had a good relationship with Pitino at FIU from what I hear.

Alabama has been on Norris for a long time, and he says that having the Crimson Tide as an option is a big deal.

“I have a really good relationship with Alabama, especially Coach (Anthony) Grant,” said Norris. “I grew up going to their games and watching them, and it means a lot to have an offer from the home state school.”

Meh....glad they are working hard replacing needed pieces, but I just see this as an excuse for sucking next year. Just gives Grant another mulligan because all of them have to sit a year.

I'm so sick of mediocrity...

Been out of the loop a bit but what are the opinions about this Kessens kid? My general thoughts are that our big men would have been shitty rebounders in any conference so at least he theoretically can do that

He looked good in what little video I watched. None of our other big men could average those numbers so it gives me hope that he's a good pickup.

I looked at his stat line on ESPN and he a couple 30 point games at the end of the year but had a couple games where he didnt score at all. I hate all of these transfers honestly. It will just give Grant another year when we dont play well this year.

His top two may be deciding between us and staying at FIU.

We just offered 2014 PF Dwayne Forman. Here is some video. LINK
Really dont know how I feel about this. I dont want us to put all of our eggs in a basket with the instate players but I would love a class with Coleman, Lee, and Riley. That class alone would make me
