This is what Hurt's highschool coach said about us. I'm glad to know someone realizes the team we are instead of saying we are a fast up and down team. The story on bamamag also said they reached out to us first.

Apparently there is another BIG kid to look for in former Baylor commit Dominic Woodson. 6'10, 290 lbs, top 100 player and very skilled from what I've seen of his highlights. Very Shaq-like post moves and excellent footwork and passing. Solid athleticism for his size. Scout wrote an article on him that's premium that says he's got two schools in mind and others calling him. I imagine we are just one of the ones calling though. Would be a huge get this late.
Just looking at Twitter I'd be surprised if we were being seriously considered.

'BAMA Magazine/BamaMag.com has learned Stephen Hurt, a 6-10, 275 pound center will be attending junior college for the 2013-14 season. The redshirt freshman was granted a release from Lipscomb University last week. Alabama, Ole Miss and Tennessee were schools of interest. After the one year of JUCO, he will have two years of eligibility remaining. Hurt is looking at junior colleges in Florida (Panhandle Conference) and Kansas. He does not want to sit out another season and has expressed a desire to sign early in November. Alabama still remains a leader.

So basically it's just a delay of his decision. He'll still be eligible in 2014-15. Might have been nice to get him on campus for a year to learn the system and work with our conditioning staff, but at least he will get some more game experience. Only big problem I have with this is that it allows more time for other schools to swoop in. Then again it allows us more time to choose between him and the other 2014 post prospects.

What system?

I'd want him over any 2014 kid we are recruiting post wise. Hopefully he stays liking us.

Well...the conditioning would have been nice.

I would too, but who knows, maybe William Lee will turn into Hakeem Olajuwon over the summer...

Ideally, we'd get them both along with Norris and Coleman.

Thats the kid we need. Kid is going to bang the boards.

I agree. He's always putting up huge rebounding numbers. They say he's got a pretty decent mid range game as well.
