Pollard and Taylor need it badly.

I don't totally believe that. KG does just fine without it. The NBA screwed Greg Oden up putting weight on him.

If Pollard and Taylor were KG's size they wouldn't need to bulk up. KG is 6'11" and a strong-built 255. Pollard is 6'8" 200 lbs and Taylor is 6'10" 210 lbs. Neither Pollard nor Taylor is close to approaching KG's size. Pollard got bullied down low last year and Taylor will too if he stays the same size. I'm not saying they should look like behemoths, but they need to bulk up some.

Guess we just have to disagree I just believe that its overrated sometimes.

Engstrom got a lot better after he gained some weight.

Engstrem getting better had nothing to do with weight IMO

Please, Engstrom was getting pushed around when he first got here and he was thin as a rail. He noticeably gained some good weight and it really helped him fight down low.

Engstrem couldn't hit a layup. It didn't take much for him to improve.

Malik Smith chose Minnesota

Guess we'll have to rely on someone stepping up their outside shooting...
Posted on 5/15/13 at 9:34 am to BigBird09
Why can't Grant close the deal on these guys? It's bad enough putting up with his in game coaching, much less coming in 2nd for every recruit.
Posted on 5/15/13 at 3:29 pm to Bryant91092
I assume he wanted stay with Coach Pitino

The truth is he's one of the best out-of-state recruiters we've ever had. Recruits always rave about him. Not sure why, but we never have had success recruiting outside of Alabama. Maybe it's because we've never really had to? Football school? Who knows... But this second place bull-shite sucks arse.

Losing to Baylor, KSU, ISU, Kansas, etc. would be better than beating Tech.
