1. 1997 LSU defeats #1 Florida

Following the final gun, the fans at LSU's Tiger Stadium, which is known as "Death Valley," flooded the field and ripped down the goalposts within two minutes.

2. Any other games?

The only time we have torn ours down was after we beat Tennessee in '99. Since then, the police line the front of the student section in the event they try to rush the field again.

Cant do it anymore. Big time fines from the league for rushing the field.

I was under the impression that UA has never torn down a goal post.

I could be wrong as I am mainlining crushed up Oxy's right now.

And LSU lost to us in Death Valley the next weekend

We tore down the goalposts after beating UF in 2002. Seems like a common theme for teams playing UF.

We probably wouldn't do it again though because we always beat UF.

2003...i was at that game too. Rex Grossman pulled a great pass out of his arse to win in OT after UF blocked a FG at time expired during regulation.

At Sanford....

October 7, 2000: Georgia beats Tennessee in a stunning upset 21-10, and for the first time since 1988... This is the first, and last time, the goal posts have been torn down in Sanford Stadium as the students section rushed the field. Unfortunately, the famous hedges were ruined in the celebration...

98 Florida was the last time.

Last time we stormed the court in basketball was I believe 06 even though we have beaten four #1s since then.

Humongous fines if you do either in the SEC.

This used to happen all the time until they made the new rule.

In other news, I have been to several Colorado games and they rush the field after just about every win since they don't come very often. Goalposts always get lowered first, though.

I'm glad the SEC cracked down on field rushing and goal post razing. It far better befits our status.

Tennessee in 2000. First time we had beat UT since 1988 and our first victory against a ranked team in Sanford Stadium since 1991...the 90's were a bad time for us.
