Sounds stupid but I'd much rather the Rebs go to Tallahassee than Palo Alto.

I still don't think they put Clempson in our regional.

eta: I didn't realize Texas was having such a bad season that they might miss the tournament all together.

Don't sleep on Indiana St.

ETA: That A&M regional looks brutal.

i have no faith in the committee giving the SEC 3 Top 8s.. if they do that, they make themselves look like idiots for not giving UK a regional..

Luckily for us we get a bit of an advantage.

The selection committee (of which South Carolina athletic director Eric Hyman is a member) has been meeting the entire weekend and will keep meeting as Sunday's round of conference tournament championships concludes.

They do. I know a lot of people didn't expect them not to hold on to that SEC title lead and they hit some road bumps no doubt but not enough to not be a hosts. And I doubt the "#1 seed on the road" offers them much comfort.

Kendall Rogers tweeted that the committee has been using RPI as a justification for their decisions to give certain teams host sites.

It's interesting considering LSU had a top 25 RPI last year and didn't even get a bid.

I can't believe the Valley gets 3. I think ISU or SMS gets left out. ISU has lower RPI but won regular season.

Dang...

1. Florida
2. Central Florida
3. Missouri
4. Bethune Cookman

Haven't seen UCF this year. I know Florida's a top 3 team, but I don't know much about UCF. Let the research begin.

(edit: I know these are only projections)

There are so many numbers out there, the committee selectively applies them to fit the agendas they are pursuing.

Pretty good team. Gave Rice a run in C-USA this year, were a projected regional host at one point.

Oh, I know. I just wish people called them out publicly for their hypocrisy every once in a while.

Moo St. will wreck that regional. Especially if they can hold Stratton for the Canes.
