Yes, we are getting more commitments in basketball than football

Ehhh, I figured he would be a later addition if bigger prospects didn't commit.

Smallish(probably 5-9) and not the quickest cat, but he could turn out to be a serviceable player. Probably 3rd best PG in Arkansas for '13 behind Lee and Watkins(you guys should have offered him instead)

Is he really THAT BAD?

All I know is that he plays for our ast coach Flannigan's dad.

Definitely not one of the top instate players but I wouldn't say that he is bad.

He isn't bad, just a player I wouldn't take right now, because he would be there later.

I just watched his new video and he handles the ball really well, gets to the rim, and can shoot really good.

I also heard we offered and are in good shape with his teammate Anton Beard.

Additional info on I.J.

quote:

Ready said he also held offers from Nebraska, Alabama, Oregon, Texas Tech and Arkansas-Little Rock along with interest from Arkansas and Arizona. He averaged 20.1 points, 5.2 assists and four steals last year and also averaged 25 points and seven assists with his AAU team - the Arkansas Hawks.

Surely you're not implying that bundy's info about a recruit is incorrect?

No. Georgetown and Arkansas at the top right now, per Beard himself.

In a motion you have to have a smart PG so that may be what Rick is looking for. Someone that will run the offense and pass first.

You're right. Which also means it could be misleading cause I'm sure he has improved since then. I will say this we need to pick up several talented big guys this season.

Another thing I'm excited to see Borchert this year. Saw him play at EMCC, kid will be a beast in a 4 out and 5 out motion.

Borchert is legit, I wouldn't be surprised if he averages 10ppg or more next year

Have you seen him play Al? I was overly impressed with his 3-point shooting touch. He is the perfect 4 man for a 4-out motion offense. He is going to cause matchup problems offensively. Don't be surprised to see a 5-out motion with Zeidaks, Borchert, whoever gets the 3-man job, Steele and Davis/Bloodman at the point. In a 5-out, it will cause the big guys to come out and guard Zeidaks and Borchert on the perimeter, opening up the middle of the court for easy backdoor cut layups.

Only his YouTube highlight video. I have a buddy who coaches college ball and he has been talking about Borchert for months. Said he's gonna be a good fit at State.

I wouldnt be surprised if Craig Sword ends up starting.
