I know Liggins and Alford were pretty highly recruited last year, but I would say that Buchanan is probably the best pure qb since Tyler Russell was being recruited. Out of MS that is

Has there ever been a more sought after MS QB in regards to Buchanan? Who has ever had offers from UF, Arky, and AU at that position from MS?

Shane Matthews signed with Florida out of Pascagoula in the early 90's

Blake Barnes had a lot of offers before signing with Georgia back in 2003

Jason Campbell had a ton of offers before signing with Auburn.

Tyler Russell had offers from State, OM, Bama, South Carolina

MS isn't really known for QBs. I'm just glad the state produced a good one no matter where he goes.

Also, I always pull for the MPSA/MAIS guys.

You are REACHING here. Barnes never amounted to a damn thing.

Two instate schools? No way. You're joking.

You suck as a poster. I've never seen you contribute to a thread. You just act like an a-hole and call people out.

FWIW, Blake Barnes had offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia, Michigan, and Auburn. .

Yeah he wasn't highly recruited at all

Blake Barnes had offers from a few SEC schools and Michigan. Its not like he was an extremely high recruit. He was outshined by one of the worst QB's to play in my lifetime at UGA. So I would not use him as a reference thats all.

Jason Campbell is a very good example. I think he went undefeated against us and should have put AU in the BCSNCG. Barnes sat on the bench and then transferred to Delta State. Therefore I would not use him as a reference.

But you're right I am a terrible poster that knows nothing about SEC football. I should just GTFO.

Highly recruited means you dont need to mention that he was recruited by two instate schools because everyone in the south in not the nation wants him.

I would say 5 SEC offers plus Michigan is highly recruited, especially considering the context of the argument, which is QBs from MS.

I will commend you though, you haven't used your go to insult of State (polyester pups) in this whole thread. Keep up the good work and chive on.

Eta: I never said you didn't know anything about SEC football. I simply said you never bring anything into a thread except flaming. So, basically, you contribute nothing. You are quickly becoming UGA's Dale Denton.

I wasnt trying to flame actually I was just saying Blake Barnes isnt a good example. But I guess I missed the point of viewing him as a recruit not as a player. My apologies.

IMO yall need to put all of your eggs in the Dobbs basket. I just read he visited... I think the kid is a player, we are done at QB this year and GT runs the option. Get him and you have a hell of a player.

I know his head coach, and YES he was. Malzahn wanted him at Auburn FWIW.

He had offers from most of the SEC.

We have 4 QBs above Dobbs. With Bama getting Bateman it will allow things to start to shake up as in terms of SEC QB recruiting.

Dobbs isnt that good of a runner IMO and we have 2 guys in Sandberg and Kincade who are great dual threat QBs.
