Rondo is a beast. Best game managing PG in the league imo. He also stepped his scoring up a bit this year. I was shocked when I heard that he was being shopped around.

He was first in the NBA in assists this season.
They aren't getting rid of him. Unless it's a ridiculous deal that they can't pass up.

He has been up there the last few seasons. He may have slipped down to 2nd, but he has had double digit assists the last 2-3 seasons iirc.
He is averaging a double-double (11.9ppg/11.2apg).

Rondo is a distributor, not a score first guard. Once their three senior citizens retire, they probably won't try to rebuild around him. He needs talent around him to really be valuable.

I jumped on that bandwagon a long time ago when we sucked, and the Big 3 have made us look like the old C's. It might not last much longer, but we gave it a good run. If we can't bounce those motherfrickers (Miami Heat) out, I hope my 2nd team (OKC Thunder) can deal with'em in the Finals.

Which is just fine...
He rebounds, passes, and plays defense with the best of them. The Celtics have been known for their defense since the Big 3 arrived, and Rondo fits in his role perfectly.

I never really followed the NBA prior to them. We are all bandwagon fans to pro teams. It isn't like you can attend the University of the Chicago Bulls.

Alabama doesn't have an NBA team.
Glen Davis was the star at LSU when I saw my first basketball game in the PMAC so I adopted his team once he got drafted.
