Not surprising Fuller went to the Dolphins
considering they drafted WRs in the 6th and 7th it kind of is.
They may be the only team willing to give him a shot.

They also took Tannehill, Sherman is there. 6th and 7th round guys aren't much different from an UFA. If he gets his shite together he could stick

The Dolphins drafted Tannehill and Sherman is coaching for them?!?
They didn't think enough of him to use a draft pick even though they used their last two on WRs. It seems more like a favor to an old player than it does the Dolphins thinking they can actually use him. Maybe he will stick but that seems really unlikely due to his lack of speed and current stone hands affliction.
anyway
A&M CB Coryell Judie to the Broncos

You were the one who was surprised, not me
And they don't use UFA signing as "favors" for some guy the offensive coordinator coached. They sign guys who they think of have a chance of making the roster and contributing. If they didn't think he could do anything they wouldn't have brought him in.

@bobcarskadon: James Carmon (@Bigjune_77) tweets that he has signed with the Baltimore Ravens, his hometown team.

@bmarcello: Mississippi State center Quentin Saulsberry tells me he has signed with the Minnesota Vikings.

no, I knew Sherman would get another NFL job. The NFL loves retreads.
and unless your sarcasm is flying over my head, I knew he was their coach. I just don't think Sherman wanted him all that much if two WRs were drafted in the 6th and 7th when he was still on the board.

UFAs almost never have a shot to make teh team. More often than not they are nothing but training camp fodder.

He's not their coach, and he's definitely not the GM. You must be one of those people who also thinks Sherman drafted Tannehill, when in fact Jeff Ireland and Joe Philbin drafted Tannehill with input from Sherman. And they might be training camp fodder, but they still bring in people who they see something in.
And if you've seen the Dolphins depth chart, they probably should have drafted 3 or 4 Wide Receivers. They have several open roster spots at WR.

I thought someone would atleast give Vlachos a chance. I know he's short by NFL standards for a center but he was a starter at center for two national championship teams and played against some of the best DT that were taken in the draft.

Yeah, so who is left from Bama - Vlachos and Maze?
Posted on 4/28/12 at 8:17 pm to stronghouse
Honestly, after the 5th round it's better to sign a FA contract. Vlachos will be in a NFL camp this year

McCullough was also on the watch list. So that leaves just 3 in the wait-n-see mode.
