With Petrino 5

without Petrino 9

I see the voters have already written us off like they should have. Long is such an idiot and we are so screwed. Can not wait till this season is over. Will make the Little Rock games but I have no intention of going and seeing the Bama and LSU massacres. It was nice while it lasted we are done.

Great article. There's a pretty good possibility that Murray and Mett will meet in the GA Dome to decide the SEC Championship. I certainly hope it works out that way.

They have any number of injuries and they could lose 2-3 games easily. I have been told by a number of their fans that the starting 22 is NFL ready but they can't remember the depth being so average. Likewise, they have a worse DLINE than last year.
All of this is true. But we're still going to beat you twice.

I agree with much of the post about Georgia's weaknesses/unknowns at OL and PK. I would add a third weakness that may bite us in the arse early in the season---suspensions.

Seems like half of our returning starters from the D will miss the Mizzou game.

Not homering on Alabama, but I think that USC should not be number 1 until proven the first few weeks. I put LSU 2 because I feel they lost just as much talent as Alabama. On a side note I feel Alabama and LSU are once again the 2 best teams in the nation with USC looking in from the outside depending on the Oregon game and how they play at the beginning.

Also I did not rank Ohio State because of being ineligible.

What reason should USC be unanimously number 1 ahead of the 2 best sec teams that played in the title game?

Notoriously?

Preseason rankings are all a bunch of conjecture, but if you want to rationalize them from a reasonable perspective, it's probably the manner in which USC finished the season, and also the talent returning.

ESPN appears to be putting USC and "SEC team X" on a collision course for the BCSNCG, and I'm just fine with that.

changed it to unanimously i saw that and was like i better change that before some grammar tool comments. And agreed that is probably what will happen, but i think USC should have to prove themselves first before being ranked 1st coming off sanctions and a loss to Arizona State. JMO

Hell, they're still in the midst of it.

Well, we'll know a lot about USC after the Stanford game in Palo Alto. Stanford is losing several good players to the NFL draft, but they're still a nice team.

You'll beat Stanford... Oregon will be the deciding factor game. Similar to Alabama vs LSU. And Arkansas for Alabama is similar to Washington for USC. IDK how good CAL, Stanford, or Notre Dame will be, but they should not be a walk in the park.

We will find out more about Washington after their game at LSU. Tigers had a tough time with the Huskies in Seattle, but are heavily favored at home.

Probably guilty of a major, yes. The penalty? The inconsistency of NCAA rulings precludes any educated guess I think.
