That's understandable. You win multiple NCs at Bama, but you only get drafted once.

Nothing to see here, move along.

Players are dead to me after they leave Bama anyway.

'Borrow' hints that Saban would be returned to LSU at some point, and we know that he's perfectly happy at Bama, so...your terminology is in error.

And please...y'all need to work on Les quite a bit more. You know, coach him up. We're gonna need a good HC one day.

Jim Brown is one of the greatest players that has ever been, and if you don't believe that just ask him. With the sports and his bit of acting, I think he just started to think a little too much of himself, and I've never really heard him brag on any other player except himself, with maybe the exception of OJ Simpson. That should tell you a lot about Jim Brown's opinion.I just think Jim Brown is one of those old guys that trys to bank on his glory years, and can't see someone else as good.
Of course Trent is not trying to please Jim Brown.
In my opinion, Trent Richardson is someone that grew up fast. He had 2 kids at an early age, and has worked very hard to find a way to support them and provide them with a better future.

Hold up. Only Updyke was mad. The teabagger was celebrating. We cover the full spectrum of emotions. :jump2: :jump1:

On a personal level, I'm pretty sure signing a bigazz contract to play in the pros would be bigger than winning a NC. He probably could have phrased it a little differently though.

Individual fans tend to value national championships more than one individual player making millions of dollars in the NFL. So, when a player makes a statement that appears to devalue what the fan holds dear, they feel slighted. In this case, though, I think you're just flaming.

Judging from the vast majority of Arkansas fans and the way they react to both success and scandal, I'd ponder the quesetion of whether they are projecting their own values and reactions onto Alabama fans.

No surprise. People usually appreciate what they earn more than they appreciate what they are given without having to earn it.

You still mad bro? A word of advice to you and your team: don't show up half asleep to the biggest game of the year when the other team has retribution and vengeance on its mind.

Saban's first time meeting Trent

quote:

"I visited his high school, but I wasn't allowed to talk to him January of his junior year. I just said hi to him," Saban said. "I didn't know that much about him at the time.

Saban bump

quote:

"He came up and visited early on, on the junior day. Got to spend a lot of time with him. I remember his mother and him and his Uncle Willy. "I said this guy's really got the right stuff. He was very talented and productive in high school. He was a great track guy in high school. I just thought he was the best running back around and certainly proved to be that."

I think he meant to say, getting drafted #3 and the money is bigger than winning the NC. Just sayin what the Browns fans want to hear. He did good.

you want to say the right things for the team you're about to be playing for not the right things for the team you were playing for

plus two kids and basically his whole family and he just got top 5 pick money money

I'd say it was a big day for Trent
