I never argued that; but the SEC isn't in the game in 2006 or 2007 if teams who were 2 TD favorites don't blow it
I'm in support of a playoff, but as I said, I understand why Delany would fight to keep the Rose as high in prestige as possible

I just think the Rose has been a sticking point for a playoff. It even was for a while with the BCS. I understand the tradition and wanting to keep it but all things come to an end and IMO for the better of college football end the tradition. Or as said in the bowls thread let the conferences keep the Rose and not enter the playoff see how much they like the tradition then.

I'd compromise honestly; make it a Big X/Pac X game; if it ends up being champ vs champ I'm fine with that, or just take Big X 2/Pac X 2 and ditch the Cap 1 bowl or whatever.

Most likely, the Big X and Pac X champ will be in they playoff, and the Rose will be one of the Semis.

You say Florida and LSU backed in the BCSNCG in 2006/2007 and they still took the b10 out behind the shed.

There is absolutely no chance that happens. I am sure the big X and Pac 12 would like for it to, but again, huge lol in your general direction for being that much of a homer.

Most of the top SEC teams see getting to the Sugar bowl as a failure. Probably an elites attitude but that's where the SEC seems to be these days.

Well that's just fine, but the Big X love the Rose. And any SEC fans who have been there would understand why they don't want to lose it

No one is going to agree to a plan that would give 3 loss big 10 and pac 12 champions automatic reservations in the semis just because they like the money they make off the rose bowl. That's a fantasy. You said it was the 'most likely' option. That makes you a homer.

I think the proposal is that the Rose becomes a 3rd semifinal (which makes no sense I know), and then the 3 winners will be voted on again?
