I've never met a Southern Miss fan, so I want them to beat State. From the responses in this thread I guess I would feel differently if I had met one.

Yes I have, but I've never actually talked to someone that was like "I'm a southern miss fan."
They are nonexistant in Northern Mississippi (aka God's country)

When I lived on the Coast, almost everyone was a Southern Miss fan. I only met a handful of Ole Miss and State fans. There is a shitload of Southern fans on the Coast.
I also didn't realize that Ole Miss and State fans hate Southern so much until I read this thread.

I've been living here in Hattiesburg a few years and I have never had a problem with any Southern Miss fans. Most like to drink and party.

The guys I know are all Southern Miss alums and former Kappa Sigs there. Most from around Hattiesburg and the coast

Oh I forgot. I was in hattiesburg with some friends a few years ago at some diner and they had student discounts if you showed a student ID. They let my friends from State have the discount, but the bitch wouldn't do it for my Ole Miss ID.
