Hunter believes that Ingram was better than Bo and Herschel.
HE BELIEVES.

Decades of hype. Folks too young to know and impressionable by legend and unwilling to look at things objectively buy into bleacher report articles and hype.

I just put up their acheivements in their Heisman years. I can't help 2 got the award for a career, instead of what they actually did that particular year.

Ingram also had the luxury of a competent passing game and Julio Jones to take pressure off of him, not to mention a pretty outstanding Oline.
In 1982 UGA had Herschel and that was about it. Everybody in the stadium knew he was getting the ball, but he still dominated anyway.

If best year was the criteria then Herschel should've won in 80 and maybe 81 as well.

I think we all know why this thread was started.
You say that like the rest of us don't have to deal with three dozen Bama circle jerks daily.

Is anybody still talking about Doc Blanchard? Whoever was the star of the 19teens? No...but people still talk about Herschel because they saw what he did as a man among boys starting as an 18 year old.

He definitely had a better year in 81. Like I said, career achievement awards is what they turned out to be, if you look at production. Not saying there's anything wrong with that. I also don't disagree they were better athletes. But Ingram had the better Heisman year.

Dude, Ingram wasn't even the best player the year he won it.
He was the default.
