I think the OP has some legitimate points but unfortunately the thread was taken over by gumby and company.

I would put Bray at number two, especially if all his WR's are healthy...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you seem to have a completely different opinion of Bray not to long ago? What changed your mind about him? Just curious.

Yea, there is nothing wrong with the OP. I would change the original article and place Tyler Bray in front of DeNard Robinson, but that's pretty much the only change. I just don't see where the AJ McCarron hype is coming from. And you really only see it from Alabama posters. An unbiased, level-headed poster will tell you that there's zero reason to have McCarron in the top 3, although he would have an argument for about top 6.

Tyler Bray, Aaron Murray, Tyler Wilson, Connor Shaw, and James Franklin all have a good argument also.

What was off beat? McCannon should be close to the best QB in the SEC this year if not the best. You don't think he will be top 3?

Holy shite. He blew all year long and one game, with a month to prepare,he was meh in, now he is the shite? Delusion at its finest

You know what all 3 of these guys have in common? They are behind McCannon in completion percentage.

It's easy to complete swing passes to trich

I said AJ was in the top 3.

And you'd be stupid. He blew all year except for jan9th with a month to prepare. He was the reason you lot on nov 5 but yeah he is great. Take away trich swing passes an he threw for 120 and had less than 50% completion. But yeah he is great

I think Saban will open it up a little bit. If AJ finishes season with a rating in the 160's this will be pretty good.

188 yards per game 16TD in 14 games. Those are game manager numbers. Not top 3 SEC QBs. Deal with it.

Gump logic? That's corndog logic after the debacle that was the 2008 season and the whole offseason of hearing that GMac wouldn't be able to replace Wilson. And then McCarron for GMac.

Uh Ginger didn't light the world on fire. He did exactly what he was supposed to do. Limit his turnovers and not lose the game. He did that. He wasn't great. JJ an GMAT had very similar stats in 09

Absolutely not. Tyler Wilson, Aaron Murray, and Tyler Bray are all heads above AJ McCarron at this point.

I haven't said it in this thread, but I think AJ McCarron is better than James Franklin, but I'd take Connor Shaw over him. Shaw put up pretty similar numbers after Garcia was kicked off. And he finished the season on fire. Plus, he gives you added running ability.

are you kidding me? he had his ups and downs in some games but he didnt blow in any of his games. In some games, like the Iron Bowl, he picked teams apart with ease. (just like in the BCSCG)

AJ was kicking field goals? Oh no thats right, he was the holder. Laces out McCarron!!

LOL come on man, that is just delusional to say. AJ has a very legitimate argument for being top 3.

2011
Tyler Wilson 148.4
Connor Shaw 148.3
AJ McCarron 147.3
Aaron Murray 146.4
Tyler Bray 144.8
-----------------
Bray staying healthy, Franklin now in conference, LSU having a QB who can actually throw...there really is no way of making even an educated guess is there?

Im not. 188 y/g and 16 Tds in 14 games is shite. RRandle had more Tds than all your receivers combined. Many times last year I got texts from Bama diehards saying AJ sucked. Sorry it's the truth. He was the reason you lost on nov.5 th.
