Yea let's not go there. I had a huge argument with my dad, bc I wanted to wear a columbia shirt to my visit at OM, and he told me to wear the one in the pic cause it'd make me look bigger. I was like no it'd make me look like a idiot. But i did it so he'd shut up and sure enough they put that as my pic on there

I'm still furious about it

Not sure about that. As a doctor/lawyer you'll always have sick people or someone looking for help concerning the law.
Farmers rely on the elements. If there's a drought or way too much rain, you could lose your crop for the year and go hungry. Being a doctor or lawyer is much more stable.

Crops are insured fwiw. And people will always be hungry.

My dad is the head guy of a huge catfish/rowcrop operation. The cost of electricity in the summer is over a half million dollars a month. The farm as a whole generates profit of well over 20 million a year. Probably close to 50 million.

I also know some farmers at first meeting them, you'd never know the money they have. A good number of them have 25,000 acre ranches in Texas just for deer/turkey hunting.

So why didn't you play somewhere?

I did. I played 2 years at Juco.

The schools recruiting me really wanted me, I had great speed and strength and ability. Problem was they were skeptical of whether I would gain enough weight to play OL (i was only 250lbs then) and about how good I really was b/c I played in private school.

So in the end, after all of that they ended up deciding to give me an 'invited walk on" (which I should have done and just earned a scholly after a year).

I decided to go play Juco, against better competition and see if I would get my weight up. My dad promised me a new truck if I got a scholarship to play somewhere, which was also a big factor in my decision (stupid one too).

I did pretty good, started both years in Juco. Program was shitty though and didn't put much weight on me and they wouldn't let me play defense like they promised so basically I got screwed over there. Should have just walked on out of HS to a bigger school.

Unfortunately.

Had some great times there though... nothing better than partying at a bonfire in a field, picking up a girl for the night and dropping her off at the dorms at 6 in the morning so nobody sees you
