It's gonna take a while to crawl out of Saban's doghouse, IMO. Otherwise, he'd be the #2 back behind Lacy.
Link?
And no, Yeldon will not start over Lacy. Lacy is a fricking player who will ball out this season.

I am with you brother, shake the haters. I too think Yeldone will be the first true freshman to win the Heisman.

But, if Richardson didn't start over Ingram, Yeldon isn't going to start over Lacy. Give him some time.
Easy hoss. Ingram was the Heisman trophy winner and TRICH was just a sophomore. You dont start a sophomore RB, even 1 as great as TRICH, over the Heisman trophy winning RB. Lacy is good, but he is nowhere near the same level as TRICH and Ingram. Im not as familiar with Yeldon as I am with Lacy, but I watched some of the Bama spring game the past weekend and the dude seems to be a stud. He is a Saban-type RB. You cant start TRICH over Ingram(explained above), but you CAN start Yeldon over Lacy somewhere down the road next season. I actually think it could happen. Lacy is a solid college RB, but Yeldon could be Bamas next stud RB.

Lacy is definitely in MI's league at least. He has proven that almost every single time he's been given the rock.

So Lacy is in Ingrams league, who is a heisman trophy winning RB? Lacy could win the heisman? Haha just messing with you.
I would wait until the guy actually is the #1 RB, getting majority of carries, going up against fresh #1 D, who game-planned for him before I say he is in Ingrams league. Also, Lacy is injury prone and going up against SEC D week in week out is no joke. I know all about Lacy. He is a good RB with good size and skill set. But, I dont think hes mentally as tough as Ingram/TRICH. Ingram/TRICH had that mindset where no matter what happened, no matter how many people hit them, they were going to fall forward and get every yard possible. I dont see that in Lacy.
But I would wait until the end of his 1st season as a starter to say he is in Ingrams league.

Those are fair points. We shall see.

let me break it down for you according to bama fans.
MI=heisman trophy winniner < T. Richardson< Lacy< Yeldon < the next 5 star RB they sign < it keeping going and going and going.

Haha yep its just a waiting game from here on out. Heres to a great college season for both Bama and LSU, the top 2 teams in the country without a doubt

Also, Lacy is injury prone
Anytime a Bama player is injured, he is forever after labeled "injury prone."

Lacy may not be as good as Ingram. But Yeldon isn't as good as TRich either. He can be very, very good, but Richardson was one of the best in the past 10 years.

Yeldon carries the ball a little loose when he is on the edge. Lacy had the same issue as a RS Fr. While TJ got better as spring progressed, holding the ball high and tight will have to be second nature before CNS puts him on the field as the lead back against the ball hawks in the better SEC secondaries.

Haha no i said Lacy is injury prone because he IS, in fact, injury prone. Multiple injuries in his high school and college career = injury prone. It doesnt matter where the kid plays at, if hes injury prone hes injury prone. Get over yourself.

Agreed. I wasnt saying Yeldon was on the same level as Ingram/TRICH either. IMO TRich is the same caliber as DMC and AP.

My prediction... Yeldon gets less than 60 carries this year. He'll get even less if everyone else stays healthy.
Yeldon is going to jump Dee Hart and Jalston Fowler. He's the real deal. Then he's going to take over Eddie Lacy's starting spot when he leaves for the NFL.
TJ Yeldon is the best overall athlete that Nick Saban has had at running back since his time at Alabama. He reminds me a lot of Greg Little, but better. If you don't remember Greg Little, he was a WR/RB for UNC a couple years back, and he was talen in the 2nd round by the Cleveland Browns (I think the 2nd round). He was such a good athlete, he started out at running back (and was a damn good one), and then made the move to wide receiver.

Which is why Yeldon won't beat out Lacy - my point.
Sure, if Lacy goes down, Yeldon might start, but he still has to beat out Fowler and Hart.

With Alabama's Oline, all of the RB should have good years...

I hate when our fans do this shite. It was a fricking spring game. He's really talented and I don't think it is at all ridiculous to predict that he's going to have a good career, but come on. If he fumbles against Michigan we might not see him for another month. No one knows.

Dude hes had turf toe/ foot injuries since high school. Hurt his shoulder in high school. Foot injury his freshman year. Pectoral injury his sophomore year while working out. Foot injury last season vs UF I believe. Missed this years entire spring with foot injury. Do you see the pattern?
All of these injuries while he was a backup. They may not be major injuries, but they are def nagging injuries and those are the worst.
OK we agree that both Lacy and Yeldon are not on the same level as Ingram/Trich. But do you actually know how good Yeldon is/ can be? I have no clue what he can be. He hasnt gotten that much PT, so the verdict is still out on him. I wasnt saying he will for sure take Lacys spot next season, just that he seems to be doing all the right things in order to get a shot at taking some of Lacys carries, since there isnt a clear stud in Bamas backfield next season.

Man, that sounds serious for a guy that's missed maybe a couple of games, where he could have played if needed.
