Yeah I always assumed they would fix it so that they could double or triple the capacity up there before moving on to the North endzone.

They will expand in the NEZ one day. South Stadium will have to become pedestrian only, but it will happen eventually. Tiger Stadium will top out at 125k.

The proposed SEZ expansion would put capacity at right around 100,000.
If they do a further expansion to have the East and West uppers meet uniformly all the way around, it could push capacity to between 102-104,000.

There is already talk of building box suites only above the NEZ, which they could do and still keep North Stadium Drive intact for the most part. This could add another 1000-3000 to capacity....

I may be the only one but I actually like that capacity is 99,500...makes it unique and quirky.

By design, I'm not sure why but they specifically stated they don't want to go over 100k

Having the most seats is not as important as quality.

Tennessee is the poster child for tiny shitty seats just so they can claim mine's bigger.

I literally sat on a folding chair behind the last real row of seats in the lower end zone section when I was at Neyland in 06

With a capacity at 99500 it's probably going to be over 100000 for all the big time games.
Capacity now is 92400? I think crowds of 93000 were at the Florida, auburn and Arkansas games this season.

Guess what people, TAF members are hearing rumors that the current TS will be expanded, but ten years down the road, a new TS will be built and be one of the best college FB stadiums in the nation. Rumor has it that the new stadium will be further up River Road, about ten miles up from the Vet School. Do you people realize how much land LSU owns up and down River Road. If you don't think that this is a possibilty, then you don't remember the upgrades at the ole Alex Box, and look at it now. There's nothing to look at. Money and progress talks over the so called traditions. You better reserve your place for a piece of cement from the current Tiger Stadium.

You're fricking dumb. You really think TAFT and LSU would be spending all these millions to simply build a new stadium just 10 years down the road?

If I'm crazy, how many of you kids actually attended LSU or give a portion of their current earnings to TAF? I didn't think any of you did. BTW, the reality of the situation is that a new stadium will be built.

I attended LSU and give to TAF and I imagine my father is much higher in TAF rankings and closer to the situation than you.
