I would have been fine with him, but I tell ya, the more I hear Sumlin talk, the more I like the hire. Obviously, the man hasn't won anything yet, but just how he conducts himself is refreshing. Its not the vanilla personality of an NFL coach. For example, Sherman never talked about the SEC. It seemed that he didn't like the idea because he signed up to play Big 12 ball. Sumlin embraces the SEC and loves talking about it and marketing the program every chance he gets during interviews. His entire staff knows how to recruit. Sumlin and his staff are very familiar with recruiting in the state and have connections with high school coaches. This wasn't the case with the previous staff. Our staff is hungry and know the flaws of last year. Last year, we were gashed and out conditioned. The practices now are so up tempo and our guys will be in such better shape. Hopefully it all works out. This staff hasn't accomplished anything yet, but damn, I like what I am seeing.

Always got along with the Mizzou fans the best of our Big 12 foes anyway, so I was happy y'all jumped to the SEC as well.

Yeah most of our fans like Mizzou I think. Them and Nebraska were the only other two schools besides us that seemed to have zero tolerance for the bullshite that went on in the Big 12. Colorado just didn't really fit in my opinion.
