I've got some pretty good pictures I'll post when I get home Monday. We have back stage passes and passes to the miller lite tent, we got hooked up. Also just got to the jail and we can't get him out yet because he just blew a .12, the wait is on.

When I was a student, my friend got arrested on the basis of the cop, late in the day on Saturday, proclaiming him to be so drunk as to constitute a danger to himself. He went to whatever little jail is in Snook.
There's always all sorts of stuff abandoned out there. We were cleaning up our site and bringing back all our gear on Sunday after it was over and found a pyramid of full Lone Star cases - over a hundred cases - and a working full-size refrigerator and we took it all with us. Free beer for the rest of the semester for my roommate and I!

My roommate got thrown in the Chilifest drunk tank our sophomore year

My buddy said he got off the bus, and an undercover cop started asking him for his Id, he's 21, he gave it to them and he told them he goes to ole miss. Well they didn't believe him because he has a Texas id, they then made him blow and took him to jail. He was obviously pretty drunk but sounds pretty fricking dumb.

We have passes to the backstage where they serve food to the volunteers. At the end of the night there were prb 40 people back there in handcuffs. It was hilarious.

You never know what you're going to get with Chilifest cops. A dbag cop was giving me a bunch of shite last night when I was trying to get on the bus. They contract it out to cops all over the state so you get SWAT guys from Houston that could care less about anything, and you get uptight cops from small towns. Hopefully you stay out of trouble today, there will be a lot more townies out there and not just all students since you can buy open admission tix for today

What pissed me off is they won't give me a 21 wristband because I don't have a Texas id. But I walked around with beer all day and no one said anything to me.

What does going to Ole Miss have to do with anything? As long as he's legally of age and has a valid id then unless he was making an arse of himself that's fricked up.

They were asking what he was doing and just said that he was trying to find a taxi because he lost his friends, and him not going to school here meant he knew no one there. I'm sure he was pretty intoxicated, he remembers it all though so he obviously wasn't that drunk.

Yea, the cops can be real asshats at that. It really is just the luck of the draw. One year I had a cop all over my arse b/c I tripped as I was walking backwards talking to a friend. He grabbed me by the shoulder and started berated me about being drunk. Lucky for me I was the DD and hadn't a drop to drink. He actually looked pissed off he couldn't arrest me.

Watch out for CS cops when you're tailgating/going to Northgate (our strip of bars) after games.....There isnt' a more strict, uptight college town police department in the nation that I am aware of.
