There is a certain coach in the NFL that needs a job for a year. This certain coach and Petrino run very similar offenses. This certain coach also has strong ties to one huge Razorback booster that also owns another NFL team in Dallas. This certain coach would be a grandslam for the Razorback faithful for this season that has so much potential.

Won't happen but I'd love it if Sean Payton coached here but then Saints fans would hate us when he decided to stay.

I just don't think they would get a top head coach during this time of the season. It is best to go the interim route for now.

Yep, not to mention it would've been even more chaotic even with a new coach as they've got to hire a staff, install schemes, stuff that takes lots of time (and not easy to do when most coaches are hired in the winter)

Smart thing would be to keep current staff, promote an interim, and ride out the season. Don't frick up like Alabama did and hire a Mike Shula then feel obligated to keep him for 4 years...

You do realize that no big name coach would come to Bama because of the probation and loss of scholarships.Shula did a hell of a job considering he played short handed.Saban took the job because Bama was getting schollies back or he would not have come to Bama.

I would full on shite my pants. Not while dancing, not while randomly giving "high fives" to people in my office - but right here at my desk staring at my computer in disbelief.

this team has been in this offense for 4 years now and has legit NFL talent at the QB, WR, TE and RB and O line. unless you can get a no brainer like gruden which isn't happening you go the intrem route. this team is too good to install a new system in after spring.

I agree, but this requires Paul to stay and I don't see that happening. Without Paul or Bobby, we may as well have Tyler call his own plays and run the offensive practices.

who knows? Paul has his own family and bills to think about, and leaving now makes it near impossible to find another job for the upcoming season.
