I think for Petrino, a scumbag like Jimmy Swaggart would be more appropriate...

He didn't kill anyone, so keep him. Jesus, he's a football coach. Nobody goes to a game because of morality. You want a moral coach? Re-hire Kenny Hatfield.

While I agree with you, we all know that's not going to happen. The girl will be lose her job and Petrino will be fined and maybe a month-long suspension but that's about it. Petrino's wife will issue a statement standing by her man, mistakes and all, until the dust settles on all of this and then she and her attorney will take him to the cleaners. What we won't know is what Petrino pays the girl to keep quiet.

It is not that simple. Clearly you're not a lawyer, and neither am I, but I know that hiring practices based on sexual favoritism is often, but not always, prohibited. It is an extremely complex issue.

I'm also betting that Petrino's little side-piece is hiring a lawyer of her own. A Gloria Allred type that may want to see how much Arkansas regrets putting a scumbag like Petrino in a position of power and control over her poor, abused client.

(Not saying the above is true... just a hypothetical. And within the realm of possibility.)

IF she gets fired and Petrino does not, it is fricking on. She did not hire PoA then bang it, lie to her boss, and try to cover it up after it hit the fan. She was the whistle blower from what I read. Not a Arky lawyer but most states have whistle blower protection laws.

He works for the state university, not Mcdonalds.

some people in this world still have morals and expect them from someone who represents their school.

I agree.

You know I dislike Saban and think he's a cold-hearted bastard when it comes to "business", but one thing I've observed from him as a public representative of the University of Alabama is that he's just as good at that as he is at coaching.

Not the "warm and fuzzy we love him so much" good but the "I'm a professional and I represent the University" good.

I'd be more shocked at a guy like Saban getting caught dipping his line in another pond than just about anybody. He lets nothing get in the way of his mission. Hell, the Bama athletic offices could be chock full of Bama Fax Girls and Saban probably wouldn't even notice.

If he stays game day signs could be embarrassing.

Yeah, I think Saban is an a-hole and I sometimes get mad at things he does. On the flip side he wins big and has always represented UA well off the feild.....I'm happy with that.

Can't believe I'm typing this.

If this happened with miles people would be marching in the streets with pitchforks and torches until he was fired

Unfortunately, they may also be the ones that cause this drag on for a while.

BMFP is a damn good coach...but, I'm glad this isn't happening to us.

He's a hell of coach, and I honestly believe he's 2nd behind Saban in terms of ability.

Recruiting is the life blood of a program, of which CBP is inept. If he could recruit I'd agree, but Miles is #2 behind Saban.

In what job do you hire someone to sex them up, lie to your boss about it, break contract rules, and keep your job?
