people outside the Southeast voted Alabama #2 when given the choice of 11-1 Bama, 11-1 Stanford, 11-1 OSU and 11-1 Boise. Including Stanford and Boise's coach, and the coach of Air Force (Colorado) voted OSU as low as #5. So your point that the South vote is what carried Bama is not entirely true.

Eta: Michigan's coach voted Bama #2 as well. It's not just a Southern thing apparently.

Sucess begets sucess Alabama's rich football tradition puts them on prime time nationwide, a case of out of sight out mind type thing, again put Arkansas in Alabama's postion and they do not get the nod because voters do not see them cross country. Last year the whole country saw the Iron bowl, the game of the century, and Penn State/Bama

No where did I type that the southern vote put Bama in, infact my point was the non south will vote Bama, I am not sure the non south will vote Arkansas under the exact same set of circumstances

It's funny how SEC fans always seem to think that an undeserving school from a weaker conference like the ACC or Big East will go undefeated every year yet it's only happened once since 2002. Even in the weaker BCS conferences, it's extremely difficult to go undefeated. FSU will have a slip-up somewhere along the way. Boise likely will lose some games in the Big East as well.
