Obviously, as the game goes on, things change and you may have to go for it, or decide to punt due to time remaining, etc. But going into the game I think this time we should plan on something like...
*Between the 40 and 50.
- Punt and play defense. (unless it's inches on the 40 or 41.) Then maybe go for it.
*Between the 30 and 40.
- Go for it if it's 4th and 1~1/12
- Punt or pooch punt it otherwise.
*Between the 25-30.
- Go for it if it is 4th and 5 or less.
- Pooch punt it otherwise.
*Between the Goal line and 25.
- Kick a field goal or go for it.

Kicking field goals would be my last option also.

The answer to all of your questions is throw a 5 yard out to Smelley.

I say 4th & 5 inside LSU 40 go for it. Defense proved last game that they can defend a short field. Reward outweighs the risk.

But bigger question is what are we going to do ?
Ya'll are gonna run the option and have 300 yards from what I hear.

Please kick field goals. They are so entertaining.

Disagree a bit here, I'd rather pin them deep rather than flop field position. Even if our D can hold them to no points and only a first down or so. You give them ball at their 38, they pick up a first down to the 48, and Brad Wing pins at or inside the 20 easy.

Have AJ run it up the middle.

Probably will on 4th and about a half a yard or less.

Do tou need to ask this? really?

after watching the Arkansas and UGA games, and how it worked so well for them to pin LSU deep, i would think that has to be the choice..
Miles is just as conservative as Saban on offense, and if you get the chance to pin them deep, you take it.. and hope that eventually the field position battle gets you in the end zone..
