How bad do you want a playoff now?

I understand this has been discussed about a million times. Bowl games are meaningless. There is only one bowl game each year that means anything.
Get a playoff system so we can have DECEMBER/JANUARY MADNESS!!!

I like this way. They should cancel March Madness and reschedle UK/UNC.

You can still have bowl games pitting teams that were knocked out of the playoffs against each other.

At least a plus 1, with 4 teams playing in two weeks... Imagine, you play on December 17th and then come back and play in early January...

so 13-0 vs the hardest schedule of any NC team in the last several decades isn't enough? IYO, It makes sense for LSU to have to win 2-3 more games?

Exactly. A top 8 or 12 team BCS playoff, then everyone else plays stupid bowl games called the NIT bowls.

It really depends on how the bowls turn out. If Bama beats LSU and/or Stanford beats Oklahoma State, then the current system is at least partially validated. If LSU runs Bama off the field, then there will be people saying "Stanford/Okie State could have done better"...

If "they" (whoever "they" are) stick with the BCS, IMO they need to have the bowls, pair BCS #1 vs #4, and pair #2 vs #3. The winners of those 2 bowls go play for the NC.
There would be much less complaining/begging, and it's hard to think that your #5 ranked team is cheated out of a NC.
It's just one more additional game, keep the bowls, 4 team "playoff".
The problem... will the universities/conferences approve this? What about two groups of fans having to travel, pay for hotel, spend vacation, etc. twice?

Bowl games are meaningless unless you are a player. The players love them.
If you are talking about the BCS Championship then 95% of games throught out the season are meaningless.

Bama plays Okie State in the Sugar bowl,
( instead of the losers bowl: VA Tech vs Michigan).
The Okie State v Bama winner plays LSU for the championship.
clearly would please everyone.

Maybe please everyone this year, but I still think a 4 team solution would be better in the long run, but maybe I'm crazy.

I am a recent convert to the anti-BSC religon. I have always defended the bowl/selection system and was anti playoff. But I have seen the light. I want to see the entire soul-sucking bowl system blow up and see the BCS go down in flames.
Do a playoff bracket that doesn't penalize the SEC for being the most competitive league in college football, and I am all for it.

If we ever have a playoff, I would only want it to be a 4-team playoff.
