According to Richard Davenport, Kane Whitehurst has committed to the Razorbacks

6'0", 175 lbs, 4.5

Kane is the cousin of former Clemson and current Seahawks QB Charlie Whitehurst.

Kane has not been highly recruited, but judging from his video, he should have a chance to compete as a slot receiver and a KR/PR. He may factor in elsewhere on special teams.

Senior season highlights

Whitehurst played in Georgia 4A and his team won the state championship in 2010.

I'm not sure where he was on the board... I suspect that we would have taken Morrow if he wanted to come here. I have no inside info but it really seems like Whitehurst's offer was conditional on Morrow not committing to us.

I don't know how long our staff has been considering Whitehurst, but he just appeared on the fans' radar within the past week or two.

I'm a little confused as to why Whitehurst wasn't recruited more heavily. According to the opening of his highlight video, he was extremely productive as a senior:

AJC All-State 1st Team ATH
AP All-State 1st Team WR

2,234 all-purpose yards

51.1 yards per kick return

Different type of receivers. I'm sure that if we can get Morrow we will.

Very good pickup, I think he is Seahawk QB charlie Whitehursts cousin. 6th WR commit with Whitehurst, Riles, Minor, Mckinney, Funderburke, and Wade makes me think there may be no room for Morrow.

I'm not so sure about that... Whitehurst is the 6th WR to commit. I think the remaining spots will be used on TE, OT, or defense. We could really use another CB with Singletary having his offer pulled.

We're going to break out a new offense consisting entirely of WRs and TEs in 2014. The SEC won't know what hit it.

The QB in that video was pretty damn impressive too.

Maybe not all our WR recruits will make it.

Id guess with 6 WR commits now, Morrow is no longer an option.

I played with this kids Cousin, there seem to be a good amount of D1 players from that Chatahooche team, that's exciting for them.

I seriously wish the rules would allow it. It would be fun to run a 7 receiver set and force teams to adjust to you. Mike Leach would be king of it with quick slants.

Kid is a player.

I think he took Morrows spot. This kid will fit in nicely after Joe Adams leaves.
