I'm all for peace and good sportsmanship, but after the poor treatment from their fans yesterday I hope we have our piss bombs ready.

The more mature and sober fans were fine. I was shoved around a little bit by some drunk kids on my way to the stadium but overall had an enjoyable experiance. OP needs to look at our fans before he starts bitching about anyone else's

I have been to most of the sec stadiums, including War memorial and have only had one bad experience and it was an Iron Bowl and I am not a fan of either of bama or the barn. I have brought friends to LSU who love going to BR and others who hated it. There are bad fans everywhere, but usually I think you can get beyond that if you want to.

I participated in the calling of the Hogs when the injured player was down. Like everyone else I didn't realize he was down. That was right before the half and Cobi Hamilton had run the length of the field and scored the TD as time expired. The vast majority of people didn't realize there was a player down until a couple of minutes later, it was one of the DBs that collided.

Our fans are generally cordial. I have been to many games in my lifetime and the Hog fans seem to be very diplomatic toward the opponents fans. I think if the OP encountered this kind of behavior it may have been some young dipshits that didn't know any better. That can happen with any teams fanbase.
In any case, there's no reason to treat the opponents fans with disrespect, we all want to travel to see our team play without being harassed, and it's unfortunate that on occassion some dumb frick(s) screw it up for them.

I did my fair share of heckling, but it was all in good taste. All I really did was yell the usual "LETS GO HOGS!" whenever I saw purple and gold.

However, I walked with a buddy to the beer store across from the stadium to get a few cases... All along the way, he would say things like, "you're in the wrong territory!" and shite like that. He wasn't trying to be mean or anything, but I could see why people got annoyed with him. I just continued to drink my beer and reassured those LSU fans with a "good morning!" or a "have fun" type of comment. At least that way, they would assume that I was as big of a dickhead as my buddy haha.

I was bothered most by the "LSU Sucks" and "LSU Blows" chants that went on.

It is what it is... R Kansas won and we lost. Bitching about fans sounds pussified.

I have been to War Memorial several times before 96, 04 and 06. None of that crap happened at the end of the game.

In short... we didn't take care of business. Regardless of the level of dental care in War memorial, we had to take it.

Yeah, it's rather tactless IMO. I didn't hear any of that around me, but I don't doubt that it happened.

You should try being a fan of an SEC team in Utah. They hate us more than they hate monogamy.

I find it amusing that there are threads about how great Arkansas fans are, and then this one. I guess it depends on where you sat.

I think it pretty much singles out the shite talkers prior to the game.

We had LSU fans tailgating with us. We gave them free beer, free food, etc.

Even then, there were LSU fans that would walk by us on the sidewalks and talk shite to us. Even though we had LSU fans with us.

Of course, we told them to shut the hell up and they would be singing a different tune after the game.

I would imagine the poster that started this thread and the posters who are complaining about Arkansas fans are probably the LSU fans who talked the most shite prior to this game.

Thats just my educated guess.

btw, The LSU fans who were with us were pissed at the LSU fans who would attempt to talk shite and start crap as well.

Not Bitching, just informing. I will never, never treat another fan of another team like I was treated.

Glad to know that. So, you were NOT one of the LSU fans who was chanting "GO! TIGERS!" during the playing of the Arkansas alma mater in pre-game? And you did not say "TIGERS" at the end of the National Anthem when the real final word is "Brave"? I commend you, sir. Because those who did those things are just as classless as the people who called the Hogs while a player was hurt on the field.

And, while I waited for the LSU player #17 to regain consciousness and wander off the field without calling the Hogs, I can assure you, those who were calling the Hogs were not doing so out of disrespect to your beloved #17. The fact was, the Hogs had just gone 80 yards in 1 play in the last 6 seconds of the half. The injured kid was out at midfield while the Hogs were celebrating in the North end zone. I suspect many were so busy high-fiving and hugging that they didn't even notice #17. Hard for 55,000 people to instantly stop a spontaneous celebration of one of the most incredible plays to ever end a first half.

He got a nice round of applause when he got up. Nobody was taunting him. Get over it.

The game was fun. Not the most well-played game. Each team gave the other plenty of opportunities with poor punt fielding, missed fg's, and stupid turnovers. Both teams played exceptional defense. It came down to the team with the most big plays winning.
