Impact of corruption in the SEC office

I admit that this is pure speculation, but it seems that there is a lot of that floating around on the board today; if there is indeed evidence (now or later) of corruption in the SEC office or with the football officiating crews, could it eventually impact another Alabama school and their undefeated national championship season?
I know this will be labeled deflect, deny, etc. but hear me out. It was stated in another thread (or several others) that part of the Auburn investigation's findings will deal with paying off he football officiating crews.
It is known that Bobby Lowder has donated money not only to Auburn, but to Alabama as well. Now these donations to Bama may have all been on the educational side, but as it has been said before you have to butter up both sides in order to stay friends with the folks in power in Montgomery. Otherwise, if you were only doing good things for one side as soon as a supporter of the other school came to power you would be outta luck when it comes to your influence. Also, this gambling probe by the FBI also includes something like 10 or more people and could be expanded, so there could always be ties to Bama boosters as well when all is said and done.
If it turns out that there was money changing hands either in the SEC office or strictly with the officiating crews, how deep does it go? Does the NCAA start looking into things besides Auburn games? What if one of the crews that was paid off ended up working the LSU/Bama game last year?
Just food for thought.

if slive is screwing up what has been built up over the years, i say give him the death penalty. i don't know if some of you "youngsters" know it, but the SEC was not always on the top of the heap. in fact, it is a rather recent thing.

Slive will be a casualty of Camgate, IMO.

I'm enjoying watching Mississippi State and the SEC office play the blame game right now.....

There is some deflection there PJ but overall a reasonable post. I don't think the NCAA would be interested in penalizing any schools based on corrupting officials. I do agree that if it's PROVEN that a bunch of players from any school that has won a national title received payment then their titles could be in jeopardy.
Right now, it just so happens that there appears to be a mountain of circumstancial evidence implicated Auburn boosters.

I will be the first to say that although the SEC officials suck, I don't think that any of them really have an agenda to sway the outcome of games. To me that would be a huge coverup and so many people would be involved that someone would have to talk about it at some point and the whole thing would come down as a house of cards.
My only thought was if it is true that officials were paid off to make certain games go certain ways, would the NCAA dig deeper into it, and could it either cast a bad light on or even end up costing Bama victories last year if the crews implicated in a payola scheme worked the 2009 Bama/LSU game with the infamous "interception". Or even impact UF if there was a "bad call" by an implicated officiating crew in 2008.
