I posted this on the OT but this is the board I
frequent and I know there are alot of posters
in here that enjoy good southern music.
I just wanted to get you guys opinion of this kid.
This is one of his originals and it goes into Let It Be by the
Beatles. He grew up In Louisiana and after playing
in austin for several years he decided to further
pursue his career in NYC.
Before you say this isn't SEC related, it's not a flame and
it is about a kid from the SE, and most importantly.. It not
a flame thread

Not at all what I was talkin bout. First of all, most of those artist are bigger than"up and coming" and I was more Or less Loki g for opinions on a guy I knew. But stuff like LCT, he seems like a local fav. I'd like to hear some of his stuff

Listened to several of his songs; his voice sucks.

Haha, I know... Check my edit!

Okay, so I listened to the whole thing... And I'm only being honest by saying that I think that this guy is obviously musically inclined, but lacks any dynamic with his vocals. And the reason that I can honestly form that opinion is because that's basically the same reason I tour beer joints instead of arenas. I suffer from the same problem.

All successful singers are up and coming early in their careers. Attending some McD's meetings, David Foster would sometimes bring an artist he was working with as the entertainment.

In 99 he introduced this teenage kid (looked 16). Nobody ever heard of him but, within a minute, everyone in the meeting knew this nobody would be a somebody in the music business.

They either have "it" or they don't.

I don't know, man... The mainstream music industry is full of shitty, talentless cumstains that most certainly don't have "it". Instead, they have an image that ends up belonging to some shitty label's uber-talented marketing department or A&R guy.
