Why would anybody make the case for R.S. as the starter? This kid has no arm whatsoever. I agree he is good for running plays and changing up the rhythm, but no way should he be the starter and attempt to pass the ball.

Jefferson's great completion percentage was due to the hitch passes and bubble screens. The kid rarely threw downfield...and when he did, it was usually badly missing an open WR streaking downfield. That stat is misleading for sure!

The arguement that a sack is better than an INT is valid.....only if you are able to convert those long yardage situations (after a sack) into first downs. It was painfully obvious the LSU offense could not pick up 2nd or 3rd and long situations ALL YEAR. Those sacks were basically "change of possessions". the only benefit was we were able to punt in a little further downfield.

With all that said, I'm started to lean to the coaching staff being the #1 hinderence to JJ. As much as I think he is an average QB at best, I don't think we can start another rookie QB in 2010....unless JJ has a total meltdown in spring and fall practices.
