Meyer's Health and SECCG Outcome ... Connection?

I just got to thinking, if Meyer is like a second father to Tebow, as well as a very well-liked mentor to most of his team, could his health issues have affected the outcome of the SEC Championship?

I went back and watched it, and it was obvious that Tebow just wasn't as focused as he usually was, nor as "pumped" as you'd expect for a big game, even when down.

Now in hindsight, it's clear that there was more to Meyer's hospitalization than just a simple case of dehydration.

So my question is: do you think that the lack of focus and drive by the UF players was a result of a serious medical problem with their Coach?

Did you miss the part where he was doing his little zig-zag run before the game? Maybe where he went into the D huddle and yelled as well?

Urban hasn't looked well lately... with his health being something of an issue i'm sure he wasn't at his best... but i'm also sure saban had his team ready to play no matter what kind of florida team showed up

Here's my take on this entire scenario.

The Team..Let's go back to their game with Tennessee on Sept 19th. The Gators were like 28 point favorites and won by 10. Everybody was sort of taken back by the fact either Kiffen was better then Meyer or Florida did'nt play lights out. Next here comes Arky a team we put away at BDS 35-7. They go to the Swamp and almost pull off an upset. This to me threw up Red Flags. I saw the Gators as not as good as '08 right then. We had our moments with Tennessee and Auburn as well but it was obvious Going into the SECCG we were going to win I just never figured by 19 points.

Meyer has had his way walking all over opponents with Tebow since 2006. All that came crashing down on Dec 5th. I'm certain this probably accelerated his health issues. We worry about Saban in the same regard. He's a workaholic like Meyer and 13 years older then Meyer.

Stress like they have can and will kill someone.

I think Meyer eventually will emerge somewhere else after he gets his health issues resolved. The man is only 45 young enough to heal hopefully...

Yes, I agree. Bama beat a UF team that was dealing with a coach that was less then 100%. Now I understand why the Gators were flat for the SECCG. Now unless something strange happens again to help Bama win Texas will expose Bama. I predict Bama's luck runs out and Texas wins.

Wrong Again. So your sayin' Florida would have beat us if Meyer would have been in better health and Tebow more focused? Yea Right! Dude did you even watch the game? We took them to the proverbial "Woodshed" focus or no focus.

When are you Hillbillies gonna cease your "Woulda..Shoulda...Coulda" posts? Get over it..We beat you and them all that matters.

Yea and you and a bunch of others have "Predicted" we were gonna lose every game this year and Florida would Chew us up in the SECCG, That Saban was going here and there. Now here's your last chance "Texas is going to beat Bama". I'll be right here after that game dude Win or lose. Your going to be WRONG again (#14).

Then No doubt you'll be predicting next Season's Bama losses etc. What a frickin' Circus!! ROLL TIDE BUDDY!!

Got you goat? I never said those things you posted. I'm just saying Bama has been very lucky the past 2 years with many teams being down. And now they won their first SEC Championship over a sick Urban Meyer which affected the out come of the game. I just wish Meyer would have made this decision before the Bama game cause Bama would be on their way to another 2 game fold like last season.

Does anyone notice that no one has disagreed with the OP's statement that doesn't have a little red A next to their name?
