I hate to agree with a condom, but he is absolutely correct. Kiffin never had anything to do with SC's success on O.

Kiffin was the OC in 2005-2006. Sark was QB coach. Kiffin called the plays for those two years.

Orgeron was RecCoordinator for six years 1998-2004. He turned USC from nothing into a Five Star Heaven. He is in the process of doing the same in KTown.

Again Kiffin didn't come in until after Pete Carrol had it rolling, and already had a two national titles. Orgeron was there under the previous staff for what its worth. He had trouble recruiting in southern California against UCLA under Paul Hackett. He took off under Carrol.

If Sark was really the better offensive mind, then why were his offenses at USC not as productive as the offenses under Kiffin?? This includes the offense in 2006 after Leinar/Bush/White left.

Listen to usc6158 now Vol. Kiffin's athletes > his playcalling. Don't dig yourself a hole you can't crawl out of.

you answered your own question. USC's struggles on offense were with deteriorating WR development.... now who was in charge of WR coaching? hmmmmm

Kiffin/Orgeron recruited all the athletes they had to play with, so that argument makes no sense.

Kiffin's playcalling was great. You forget that Lane Kiffin was the PASSING GAME COORDINATOR before becoming OC when Chow was still there.

And the QB play was not better than the rest of Kiffin's offense.

In fact, once Kiffin left and Sark took over, it was the QB play that was the albatross of that offense. Remember JD Booty sucking it up against Standford?

broken hand

the fact that Sark got Booty to be a first team Pac-10 QB is a minor miracle

He working the same magic with the incredible development Locker has made in one season

Locker was always a stud.

Who was the National Player of the Week last week??

Some tard that couldn't hit the broad side of the barn last year.

not throwing the ball. He's gone from an erradic spread option QB to a pocket passer who people are talking about as possibly the first QB taken

One great week against a Willy Martinez defense and now Crompton is the greatest QB ever

frickING FACT!

Actually, the only fact is that Sark is 3-4 and Kiffin is 3-3. Since neither one has exactly lit the world on fire at this point (although to his credit Sark did beat an undermanned USC team without their starting QB), I find it hard to call your statement fact.

Sark is playing with "talent" that went 0-12 last year. Kiffin lost to fricking UCLA at home with SEC talent

Not greatest ever, but second leading TD thrower in the SEC is fine with me.

Also consider the fact that Crompton's recent success in the last three games(NOT just one) has been a direct result of playcalling.

All the playaction and rollouts that have been called by Kiffin have helped Crompton. His problem has been throwing it behind receivers. Kiffin's playcalling has helped because it gets Crompton out of the pocket and widens his throwing lanes. Its harder to throw behind the receiver.

With Fulmer's "talent" that also lost to a terrible UCLA team last year. Don't see how this supports your statement.

In all seriousness you have to wait a couple years and by that point I will be very surprised if you still think Sark > Kiffin. Its simply too early right now to make the comparison until they get their own players in there.

Actually, they only beat them pretty good in 2003. The 2002 game in USC was very close if I remember correctly.

2002 game was very close, caddy cramped up in the second half and Tubs wouldn't take Brown off the bench I'd like to have seen that game again with Brown in the second half.

We were heavily favored in 2003 due to USC losing its 5th year senior QB and it being at home but thank you Tubs and Hugh Nall for the worst offensive tragedy AU has seen, even more so than 2008. With Petrino at the helm we'd have won 2003 and played for it all in 2004 as I'm not sure we'd have beaten LSU in 2003.

Also, another fact. Kiffin's wife is hotter, therefore, he is less sexually frustrated, meaning he gets less stressed at crunch time.
