I haven’t heard this before, but the alleged felony that they are trying to convict Trump on in NY is only available due to a 1 year extension from COVID.

We already knew that the misdemeanors charges were past their limit.

This case was already a complete joke, but to have a COVID Hail Mary in the mix just makes it even more of a clown show.

Sentinel Article

Trump was indicted in 2023. How did that happen? Because of COVID-19, when New York extended its statute of limitations by a year. That allowed prosecutors to slip the charges in right before the new, one-time-only, six-year extended statute of limitations expired.

Tolling civil SOL for a short period during lockdowns and shutdowns is one thing. Criminal SOL tolling seems unconstitutional.

So a person’s legal rights were ignored because of Covid. 1984 where are you?

That seems silly because even with COVID filings in Courts did not stop...arrests did not stop...just crazy

I still don't know what crime they are accusing Trump of covering up with the hush money bookkeeping and neither does the defense.

Bueller?...

It's fitting that Trump's historic failures during Covid-19 are contributing in some way to his future status as a felon.

Once it's shown that Bragg and Fani had discussions with the White House, Biden should be impeached and sentenced to jail.

If you have to change the laws on Statute of Limitations in order to charge someone ONCE, it looks bad.

This is the second case of NY state doing it, after the sexual assault charges brought by Ms Rape Fantasy.
