I don’t know the reason anymore than you do. What I’m trying to say is that just because there’s a presumption doesn’t indicate that it’s fact. It was probably presumed because of increased rates of cancer among those young servicemen, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that those increased rates are due to burn pits. Correlation does not equal causation. Just like Gulf War syndrome decades later is thought to be due to chemical exposure, not depleted uranium. I’ve worked with ionizing radiation for over 30 years and if I develop cancer, it may be presumed to be secondary to the radiation yet not necessarily true

Yeah, that's nice. Yet, it's still considered a presumptive condition related to burn pit exposure.

No one said that means it's guaranteed to have caused the cancer, but it does mean that anyone acting like it couldn't have caused it is a moron.

That's the point.
