Have you ever been on first base with a runner crashing down the line. He positioned himself correctly in the scenario. The “all world defensive wizard catcher” has to make that throw. It’s a tough play on everyone. But it’s an E2 all day long in every scorers book.

The runner " crashing down the line " is irrelevant." No where did I state in any of my 30 posts trying to educate you dumb fricks that Jones should ever position himself in the base path or even enter the base path. I clearly stated he should position his right foot at the inside corner of the bag. The runner has a clear unobstructed path to the base. Jones should be in a slight crouched position ready to stretch up, down or in any direction with his glove up at about chest height as a target. If the throw is off target he either stretches to make the catch with his right foot against the bag or he slides toward home plate remaining parallel to the base line but never entering into the runner's path. Yes, the error was clearly on Milazzo.
