Perhaps I'm judging him harshly, but that's how he came across to me. If he actually endorsed Sharon Weston Broome, as another poster said, that would tend to validate my perceptions of him. If you want to quibble on what constitutes being woke, which is strictly a leftist construct, feel free. But he appears to be a RINO, at best.

So you're using the term as sort of a way to gauge how far left someone is? That's not what the word means. It's not quibbling when it's used incorrectly in the title of the OP.

Is it not relevant to the subject of this thread? It's possible to not see what is woke about the article but also agree that the author leans left, no? I don't even know if that is true, but my point is that we are discussing the substance of what was written, not the author himself.
