We need guards that can create on offense. Our offense was way too stagnant last season. Too many big guys and not enough athleticism

Yeah I get that but there needs to be a balance. Looks like CMM just completely overcorrected and went guard heavy instead of trying to build a balanced roster.

Or he's trying to build a roster that can compete on both ends of the floor. LSU WAS balanced last season. They sucked equally on both ends of the floor. Literally. They were ranked 99 in offensive efficiency and 99 in defensive efficiency.

His offensive numbers don't particularly jump off the charts. But he was in the top 5 of the A-10 in: Defensive win share; Defensive +/-; Defensive rating; Steals; Steals percentage.

If you want to be a team that plays an up-tempo game (and McMahon says he does) then creating offense off of defense is a good way to do it.

Wade's best offensive team had a frontcourt of 6'6 Emmitt Williams, 6-7 Darius Days, 6-9 Trendon Watford.

Robert Miller, Jalen Reed, and Damion Collins are all taller/longer than those three. You also have Chest who is listed at 6'8

NO, I'm NOT saying those three are better, or even as good as Williams/Days/Watford. Just pointing out that you don't have to have a "true center" to be successful. You just may have to play a different style than you would with one. Houston was one of the best teams all season in the toughest conference. They didn't have a significant contributor over 6'8.
