His game definitely elevated the last half of the season.

I agree, but let's not forget that McMahon was not playing Trae only as a PG his first season. He spent a lot of time at SG, and I even remember a game where he went in at PF for the rebounding...

Despite this he still put up similar numbers both years. I think Trae has always been a solid player. I do think he improved some coming into his last season, but it's a stretch to say MM TURNED him into a legit SEC PG. My stance on him is that he always could be a PG in the SEC. I won't forget how much ridicule I received for defending Hannibal at the start of this past season. It's hard to develop as a PG when you aren't the one running the offense and getting reps at PG (as we saw in year 1 and in the first half of year 2)

No. It's not. He won us games this year. Also take note of the mid-season development of Mike Williams as well as the leap Ward and Reed made. But yet.....who didn't he develop?

Cam Hayes, East Carolina

7ppg
34% FG
25% 3pt

Adam Miller, Arizona State

12ppg
39% FG
30% 3pt

So you might have an arguement about his "talent evaluations" although I could argue we were taking anyone that would come here at that point, but I can point you several examples of players that left here and were still trash.
